You do NOT need to be constantly running and analyzing reports. Yes, there are a few key numbers you should be tracking, but trust me I spend NO more than 10-20 (by 10-20 I mean 5-10) minutes a month going through my software to check the financial health of my office.
You don't need a Practice associate
I get tired of the idea that you NEED an associate if you want to take extended time off and take great care of your patients. Is there anything wrong with having an associate, or 2, or 3? Of course not! IF that is really what YOU want to do.

I will definitely be giving away lot of Intel on this topic in the future. For now just a couple things. Staff is the most expensive overhead cost you have. For 90% of my career I have only had 3 team members, still worked only 3 days a week, still produced well over 1 million dollars a year.
